A lot has changed over the last year or so, and I am hoping Quaintrelle will reflect that. We'll call it, hm, "cleaning house." To make a long story as short and painless as possible, I experienced a situation (involving a guy) that left me, not to mention my old blog, a miserable, confused, bitter mess. To put it mildly. Recently I wrote in my journal a comparison of my feelings and circumstances THEN and NOW, and I am blown away by God's healing and grace.
That's why I'm really excited about Quaintrelle. The word means: (n.) a woman who emphasizes a life of passion expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, charm, and cultivation of lifes pleasures. And that, my friends, sums up just about perfectly the purpose of this blog. I want it to be a place that is fun, inspirational, motivational, beautiful, and well, the type of blog I personally enjoy--the creative little corners that brand a personality and show the color of an individual. This is my canvas, if you will. A bit of my brain, and the artwork of who I am. Happy and alive and so blissfully free.
Yep, the sappy writing-style hasn't changed much. But hey, this is me.

You know that place, usually early in the morning, maybe affectionately thought of before bedtime. . .when the world stops, and nothing exists but you, the richest, deepest aroma, and a toasty-warm mug? I call it procaffeinating. Join me for a cuppa (or tea, whatever the preference,) for a word or two of encouragement, a peek into my life, or a spotlight from fellow bloggers and/or friends.
This series will feature all the random and crazy things that catch my fancy. Dream destinations, quirky places, anything that just needs sharing. Sighing over Bucky Barnes is 100%, totally legit.
While this isn't a ""fashion only blog", fashion is big part of the Quaintrelle universe. I will be sharing posts on personal style, clothing, favorite beauty products, tips, tutorials, etc. And because it was a popular feature on Rhapsody in PINK, Awkward and Awsome Thursday may be joining us every so often.
My motto for 2014 is: do not let the opinions of others shape who you are. I hope through these ramblings you'll see that there is another gal in the world just like you; a gal with a big heart and a bigger imagination. An imperfect sinner striving to follow a perfect God. :)
From one cup to the next,
Michaela
