Anywho, I really love all the summery colors in this outfit! I guess it must be the "summer of the maxi," because they are pretty much all I'm wearing. This peach one brightens up so many tops. It actually belongs to a sister, but she hardly wears it, so
My shirt was on clearance at Macys around February. Actually, it was one of my birthday gifts. I ended up returning an outfit that was rather expensive, and came away with a ton of awesome deals and a lot more for my money! :) For awhile I didn't have anything to match with the top, but then Maria got this skirt. . .and the rest is history. The exact same peach color decorates the ruffled hem, and I love the hints of blue and mustard. The only downfall is the see-through material. . .easily fixed by a cami, but not very friendly in Ohio humidity.

I'm not sure if y'all can tell, but I'm a bit uninspired in the blogging/writing department. I believe in being real, so folks, here you have it! Social networking can be so deceiving. Its very important to me that you--especially those of you who don't know me IRL--realize that my life isn't perfect, even if my pictures show otherwise. :P This isn't a disclaimer, its just raw fact. For ie, besides being busy, I've tried posting this and my Cleveland post several times now. . .and I just can't seem to spit it out. So frustrating. Like I mentioned before, I have a ton of little projects going on. . .actually, I just finished a master-schedule of sorts and taped it to my bedroom door. Hopefully it will help me stay sane and put all my ducks in a row. This is usually a crazy time of year anyway, with a huge event to plan (for homeschool grads,) and besides, I have a puppy to train and a job to find. The puppy part is like being mom to a toddler. :P She's learning, but even at 13 months old. . .she is still very, um, playful? Yeah. Belle is all puppy. ;) Anywho, so I realize I'm rambling. But you don't mind, right? Being an adult is strange. . .trying to understand where God wants me, meeting goals I've put off for years, (win!) learning to cope with new feelings, opinions, and worldview. To anyone in their 20's--hang on. I just know we'll all look back and at all the frustration and worry. . .and laugh. "Stress makes you believe that everything has to happen right now. Faith reassures you that everything will happen in God's timing." --unknown
That's life in a huge nutshell. Its spinning away from me, and I'm trying to keep up. Not that I'm complaining! I love activity and the crazy times. Just need to get organized and take a deep breath. Note--if you have a friend who is like a sister. . .give her a call. Its so refreshing to get new perspective. <3 Love you, Marissa!
Love ya :) I enjoy seeing these glimpses into your life. It was beyond lovely to see you at the wedding! :hugs:
ReplyDeleteIt was great seeing you too, Hannah! :) <3
DeleteAs a woman who is fast approaching her 30's let me tell you that you will make it. My 20's were tough! I spent the majority in college and I was full of self-doubt and worry. Now I'm finding my own voice and sticking with it. College is done, I'm starting a new career, I have a book published and another one soon to be. You will make it. Your 20's are a grand transforming time and you're getting through them with grace.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how encouraging you are to me, Catherine. Thanks for admitting that the 20's are tough. A lot harder than the teen years, IMO (or as my mom says, "birthing pains." ;) ) I am looking forward to my 30's like you have no idea! Anywho--you are an inspiring person, and I always appreciate your wisdom. Thanks for saying all of this.
